LPGA Amateurs STABLEFORD Tournament

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association will host an inaugural Stableford Tournament the weekend of April 17-18, 2020 at Sewailo Golf Club at Casino del Sol in Tucson, AZ.  Teams of two women with handicap indexes of 24.0 and up will compete in a better ball Net Stableford competition.  In the Stableford format, the higher the score, the better! Points are awarded for scores of net bogey and below.  If you don't make net bogey on a hole, just pick it up and move on to the next hole. Teams accumulating the most points over 2 days will rise to the top of the leaderboard.  Registration will be open from January 15th to February 15th.  Click on the link above to get more information or to register.

LPGA Amateurs SCRAMBLE Open

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association will host the 2020 Scramble Open May 22-23, 2020 at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC.  Teams of four women will compete in a Net Scramble event using the Ambrose handicap method.  We will also be awarding the low gross winners this year.  Ambrose is a simple concept: The team handicap is 50 percent of the average of the four members' Course Handicaps.  Registration will be open from December 11, 2019 to January 29, 2020.  Click on the link above to get more information or to register.

LPGA Amateur Golf Association CUP

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association Cup is a match play event played in two stages. Nine two-day Regional Qualifiers held in June and July will be followed by a national Cup Final. Teams of eight women compete in Four Ball and Singles Matches with a total of 400 competitors advancing to Finals from the Qualfiers.  The 2020 Cup Finals will be played at Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Genva, Wisconsin on July 31st and August 1st, 2020.  Please visit the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Cup website to learn more.

LPGA Amateur Golf Association CHAMPIONSHIP

2020 marks the 25th year of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Championship.  This is a individual Stroke Play competition (the scramble format has been removed from the Championship series).  We are also moving to open registration at the Sectional Championship Qualifiers.  Players are now allowed to choose which sectional they want to compete in.  We are increasing the number of flights by decreasing the handicap range for each flight. This will create more balanced competition at all levels. There will be 10 Sectional Championship Qualifiers (SCQs) conducted from August to early October.  Those qualifying to advance from an SCQ will then move on to compete in the national LPGA Amateur Golf Association Championship being played at La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas on November 6-7, 2020.
